Architects Salvatore Perna and Giuseppe Tulumello have chosen KE structures to equip the exteriors of a luxury private villa in Antigua.
Located in the port area of the Caribbean city, the villa overlooks the water and has a private dock where the owner’s yacht is moored. In addition to the internal rooms, the house has plenty of open air space. The need was to create a roof for each of the four outdoor areas of the complex: the entrance, the area adjacent to the living room, the terrace of the sleeping area, the berth. The most suitable KE product was chosen for each area.
The Gennius Isola 2 sun shades – characterised by clean and essential lines very similar to those of the building – have been installed on both the living and sleeping area terraces. In the area adjacent to the entrance, a lighter and more essential bioclimatic pergola with Kedry Plus fins has been installed, always in line with the style of the villa. Finally, the special Gennius Roomy structure was chosen to protect the berth. Since the customer did not need an openable sun shade, a fixed model was chosen, equipped with a special system for attaching the curtains that can be easily removed in case of major weather events, frequent during the hurricane season. All the KE pergolas have been chosen with white cloths and finishes and have become an integral part of the villa that can now be lived in every space.
