Natuzzi Designer Club is a vast project promoted by the Italian firm Natuzzi in order to underpin the work of architects and designers in China.
Amongst the most interesting initiatives, it is worth mentioning the Natuzzi Design Award. The contest, launched in June, involved tens of Chinese designers who were asked to interpret the “Harmony Maker” concept, which represents the synthesis of the idea of living of Natuzzi Italia.

The projects presented were evaluated by a jury of eight prestigious professionals. Besides renowned professors and experts in the Chinese design spotlight, the jury included Mario Bellini, Claudio Lipparini and Pasquale Junior Natuzzi, the chief marketing & communication officer of the Natuzzi brand. The award ceremony of Natuzzi Design Awards was held, last November, during the Shanghai Design Week.
The award was given to a project by Liu Shida and Wang Xi, named “A spiritual home – Natuzzi Harmonious Home”. It is a state-of-the-art concept with a strong visual impact, which not only includes elements from traditional Chinese paintings but also proposes a visual experience of a modern and trendy space. It demonstrates that Eastern and Western designs are woven together, adding an extra meaning to this design contest hinged on the topic of harmony.
All the award-winning projects will be exhibited in the Chinese Natuzzi flagship stores and during the upcoming Salone del Mobile in Milan.
